When our client needed to make an impact on the media for a world premier product launch, they turned to CMC for a creative and unique solution that would engage journalists and generate instant positive impressions of the product across multiple channels.
To solve this challenge, CMC developed an augmented reality application that would “walk” journalists through new and unique features. This application enabled journalists to have a detailed view of the inner workings that made the new product unique.
The application also featured the ability for journalists to record and narrate the AR product tour. This was accomplished by enabling the application to record not only screen video, but also audio from an attached microphone. This function allowed journalists to create their own customized video, using their own voice overs to describe what they were experiencing at the event.
Finally, journalists were able to have their custom video quickly transferred to their mobile devices so that they could upload them to various social media platforms and blogs to provide their followers with detailed information. In addition, journalists used their videos as a resource to refer to when writing their articles. CMC developed the application software, supplied the hardware and technical support to make this event a huge success, with over 200 videos recorded.
Automotive News featured this application by CMC as one of the top 5 uses of vision technology at the 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show.
